PIRATE DAY

GET RRRRREADY TO RRRRRUMBLE WITH YOUR CRRRRREW! PEG LEGS, EYE PATCHES, AND PARROTS ARE WELCOME!

Here's an overview of Stephen’s message for tonight:

“The Greatest of Commissions” Matthew 28:16-20

Big Idea - The One Who holds all authority told His followers what they should spend the rest of their lives doing— Making other followers of Jesus. There are different ways to play a role in that effort in different seasons of your life, but disciple-making is the job.

Feel free to use the following discussion questions during your church group share time tonight after worship:

1) What areas of our life are we tempted to think that Jesus does not (should not) have authority over?

2) How does sectioning off your life from that authority negatively affect you?

3) What opportunities are available in your church to be actively involved in disciple-making?

4) What things can you work to improve right now, that might create future disciple-making opportunities?

Tonight we will have the Campy Awards! At 10:00, we will meet in the Tabernacle. We encourage everyone to dress up in their thrift shop prom attire, though it is not required.

Mission Offering

Josh and Devon Fults have been a part of the Launch family for many years. Josh previously has served as a youth pastor in the SNBA, he has spoken at multiple Launch events, and he and Devon have both lead breakout sessions for our Launch conferences. He now serves as the pastor of First Baptist Church in Orange, Texas. For the last few years, they have been in a fierce battle with an autoimmune disease that their 2 daughters Hadley and Hollyn both fight. Last month, it was discovered that Devon had a brain tumor. Like every other obstacle this family has faced, they met this challenge with faith and they pressed on. Devon is currently recovering from this massive surgery, their daughters are still facing treatments, and their are multiple doctor appointments and variables along the way. In the midst of all of this, their faith has not wavered and their mantra has been steady: We will trust, He will provide.

We have an opportunity to play a role in God’s provision for this amazing family this week as we designate the love offering Thursday night during our worship service to help go towards the expenses that they are facing. We encourage you to let your students know about this ahead of time. If you would like to write a check, please make it out to the Sabine Neches Baptist Area.

You can follow the Fults family’s journey (and you’re sure to be encouraged and inspired in doing so) by clicking the button below.

We have merch! If you or your students want some Launch branded items, including custom colors for your color group, check out our merch table in the foyer of the Tabernacle.

Each day your color group will go to the same location for Break Out Bible Study.

Those locations are as follows:

Blue/Green - Lodge

Red/Yellow - Cedar Meeting Space

Breakout Topics/Teachers:

  • Adam Shafer / John the Baptist / “The GREATEST of all Men born of Women”

  • Rusty Mott / Solomon / “The WISEST of all the people”

  • Jimmie Neel / Moses / “The most HUMBLE man on the face of the Earth”

Camp Champ and Foot Washer Award

We love to recognize students who go above and beyond. Every morning we announce a "Camp Champ". This is a student who demonstrates lots of spirit, excitement, sportsmanship, and leadership on and off the rec field. If you see a student who exemplifies this (can be one of your students or from another group) please text us their name and color group and a brief reason why you want to nominate them. We will also recognize one student during the Campy Awards on Thursday night with our "Foot Washer" Award. This is a student who served behind the scenes and stood out for their servant hearted attitude. Please text us any nominations for this award also.

All nominations can be texted to Zach at 409-920-5614

or Jared at 903-407-9817

We want camp to be a launching point in your students faith. Our committee has written a 21 day devotional on the book of John to help your campers continue seeking Jesus after camp. Share the link with them, or print it at your church and distribute it to your crew!

Worship doesn’t have to end after Friday. Share the songs that Brandon led all week with your students!

Don't forget lights need to be out at midnight! Please be respectful of the other groups in and around your dorm. Don't let your group ruin sleep for other's!

Also remember there will be a prayer walk at 7 A.M. Meet in the Breezeway with Garrett. Coffee will also be available in the Annex (room attached to Cafeteria) at 7 A.M. for adults and leader meeting starts at 7:30!
