FAQs

  • Launch stands on the Bible above all else as authority, but we have held that the Southern Baptist Convention’s Baptist Faith and Message is a guide for our teaching. Click here for more info on that.

  • Students who have completed 6th grade through completed 12th grade.

  • The regular cost for camp is $275 per person, with a required $25/person deposit. However, if you register and pay your deposit before May 15th your cost will be $260 per person.

  • No. All you need to do is register your church. You will then be given a custom link and QR code that you can send out to your students and parents. When the follow that link, they will register themselves and it will show up in your church roster.

  • Texas state law requires 1 adult sponsor for every 10 students. This ratio must include male sponsors for male students and female sponsors for female students.

  • Every adult attending camp must complete the Child Protection Training within the last 2 years. We've attached the link here: https://cptclass.etbe.org. You can complete the training there, or check certificates to make sure all your sponsors have completed it.

Every adult sponsor must have a background check dated in the last 12 months. ETBE asks that you use the Texas Department of Public Safety search. Here's a link to that site: https://publicsite.dps.texas.gov/ConvictionNameSearch/

  • Students who have just completed 12th grade are considered campers. Anyone who is 18 or older who are one year removed from 12th grade are considered sponsors. However, please use wise discernment in who you bring as sponsors.

ETBE does have a policy that at least one male and female sponsor be at least 21 years old.

  • Payments can be paid with a credit card through the payment tab on the ETBE registration site, or you can mail a check to ETBE at:

    178 Prv. Rd 7005 Newton, TX 75966

Make check payable to East Texas Baptist Encampment.

Final payment will be made when you arrive to camp on the first day.

  • When a student registers for camp and fills out their paperwork, that paperwork will be saved in your camp roster. The only paperwork that will need to be printed is medication forms. That printed paper will be placed in a ziplock bag with the students medication. Please place all of these bags in one box and bring it to registration on Monday. The camp nurse will give directions on when students can meet them to administer medication throughout the week.

  • Registration is between 12-2 on Monday. Camp will be over by 11 AM on Friday.

We do not release color group assignments until about 1 month from when camp begins due to the flow of registration. We will email the lead sponsor with that info once it’s available.
